R&D

At AMALUR ENGINEERS we have a clear commitment to Research, Development and Innovation.

SMARTSS Project

Throughout 2022, AMALUR has been developing a project within the Port Logistics sector
Spain’s State Ports Network, and more specifically Ports located on the Northern Cantabric Coast, receive a large amount of solid bulk traffic.

The majority of bulk solids operations of storage, loading and unloading in port areas in Spain are carried out outdoors. This implies that the actual movements in the handling of materials during the different phases of the production cycle, and meteorological phenomena such as wind, lead to the dissemination of dust particles.

A greater general environmental awareness and tougher regulations on pollution control at industrial facilities are motivating relevant authorities and operators to seek for new solutions in order to mitigate the impact of emissions derived from the handling and storage of materials and avoid incurring in severe penalties.

Consequently, and in recognition of this challenge, we have developed a suction system that combines the benefits of aspiration technology with advanced techniques of connected/automated industry (offered by Industry 4.0), to enable a more effective and efficient system to be designed, tailored to the port's specific environment and operations.

Our aim is to offer an innovative and versatile technological solution applicable to all port facilities and, in particular, outdoors, both in permanent and portable modalities, for the handling and storage of a variety of bulk cargoes.
